Stress-Free and Gluten-Free: Kate & Alex’s UK Vacation

Gluten-free travel to Edinburgh - travel agency

Kate and Alex in Edinburgh

Kate and Alex already knew they wanted to visit London, Edinburgh, and Oxford for their gluten-free trip to the United Kingdom. Traveling somewhere English-speaking meant they could relax and enjoy their vacation without worrying about a language barrier when dining gluten-free. My role as their gluten-free travel agent was to make that experience even easier.

I recommended hotels that fit their budget and offered gluten-free breakfast options, along with celiac-friendly restaurants, bakeries, and cafés that were both safe and enjoyable, conveniently located near the attractions and areas they planned to explore.

Reading about the food they loved after they returned brought a smile to my face, especially knowing they were able to enjoy everything from gluten-free afternoon tea in Oxford to gluten-free fish and chips and memorable dinners along the way. They came home with wonderful memories and the confidence that traveling gluten-free in the UK can be both easy and delicious.

It was truly a pleasure working with Kate and Alex, and I'm so grateful they trusted me to be a small part of their gluten-free travel adventure.

Read below to find out why Kate chose the United Kingdom and learn about her gluten-free experience in London, Edinburgh, and Oxford.

Why we love the United Kingdom!

The United Kingdom is one of our favorite destinations for gluten-free travelers! From historic landmarks like the Tower of London and Edinburgh Castle to charming villages, vibrant cities, and stunning countryside, there is so much to explore. What makes the UK especially appealing for those with celiac disease is its strong food labeling regulations and widespread awareness of gluten-free dining. Restaurants, grocery stores, and packaged foods are often clearly labeled, making it easier to identify safe options and dine with confidence. Add in dedicated gluten-free bakeries, traditional British favorites adapted for gluten-free diets, and a welcoming travel experience, and it's easy to see why we love the United Kingdom for gluten-free travel.
