Client Spotlight: Emily’s Vacation to Amsterdam & Paris

Emily enjoying coffee and a gluten-free sandwich in Amsterdam

We love sharing client stories — especially when they highlight how memorable and stress-free gluten-free travel can be with the right planning! We’re excited to feature Emily’s incredible trip to Amsterdam and Paris with her mom and sister. This special getaway was inspired by her mom’s travel bucket list, and both cities had long been dream destinations she hoped to visit one day.

This was the third trip we’ve had the pleasure of planning for Emily, following her getaways to the Riviera Maya and a Mediterranean cruise.

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, we recommended and booked her hotels, shared our top gluten-free travel tips, and provided a list of must-see attractions in both cities. We also gave her resources to find safe dining options on the go and curated a list of trusted restaurants that cater to gluten-free travelers.

From strolling through the stunning Keukenhof Gardens at the height of tulip season to enjoying delicious gluten-free pasta, pastries, and sandwiches in Paris and Amsterdam, Emily’s trip was full of unforgettable moments. Keep reading to discover her favorite highlights and go-to gluten-free spots!

GETTING THERE

Before departing from JFK airport, Emily went to the Delta One Lounge. This lounge opened in 2024 and is Delta’s newest and most upscale lounge, designed just for Delta One (business class) passengers. It’s a huge space in Terminal 4 with a full-service restaurant, cocktails, private nap pods with massage chairs, and even showers with clothes steaming. The vibe is sleek and modern, with NYC-inspired design and a cool terrace overlooking the runway - perfect for relaxing before a long flight.

On her flight to Amsterdam, Emily had a Delta One seat (business class) and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the gluten-free options onboard — including Udi’s gluten-free bread!

Pro Tip: Do NOT rely on your airline to provide gluten-free food options. Even if requested ahead of time, things can happen. Your meal could be forgotten, you might not like what is served, etc. Always have a backup plan.
